Jewelry
Care!
The usual common sense
jewelry rules apply…do not wear in the shower, do not expose to
water, (rain-showers are ok, but don’t wear or immerse in water).
Put your jewelry on
last, after lotions/perfume has dried and you have applied all of the
hair products you are using.
Sterling silver will
tarnish after awhile when exposed to air, although this process is slowed
by continuous wear. If you plan to store your piece for long periods of
time, place it in an airtight ziplock bag, such as the one sent with your
jewelry. If you find that your sterling silver piece has tarnished, you
can use a quality sterling silver polish to restore it to its original
luster. Follow individual instructions on the silver polish for best results.
Crystals may occasionally
need to be wiped gently with a damp cloth. Do not scrub, as this will
remove the special finish on them. Never dip crystals with an AB finish
(the slight rainbow finish on some crystals) in commercial jewelry dip.
It is especially important not to apply hairspray while wearing crystals,
as this will dissolve the finish.
Don't keep your jewelry
in the bathroom, you'd be surprised at how many people do! Hairspray,
humidity from the shower, and all kinds of gunk will dull the finish and
age your jewelry faster.
